Choose and Book St Hugh’s

St Hugh's Hospital has succeeded in being chosen by both North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire Primary Care Trusts to be part of the Government's Choose and Book initiative.
At present this initiative is in its infancy and NHS patients can choose St Hugh’s Hospital for one of the following operations:
- Cataract surgery
- Hernia
- Cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder)
- Gastroscopy
- Arthroscopy
Should you require one of the above operations, at the consultation with your GP, he/she will offer you a choice of hospital and it is at this stage that you could choose St Hugh’s Hospital.
Reasons for choosing St Hugh’s Hospital.
Patients are cared for in a clean environment in individual rooms, which we believe contributes significantly to recovery.
- No incidents of hospital acquired MRSA
- All outpatient appointments and operations are performed by a doctor of consultant status
- A resident duty doctor, is on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Nutritious food is prepared at the hospital, from fresh, high quality ingredients
